you get the name "Herd of Turtles Pottery" and we
simply reply, "That's how we move, like a herd of
turtles!"
Our functional pieces are stoneware, and YES, our
pottery is microwave, oven, and dishwasher safe.
However, when cooking with pottery, start off in a
cold oven to prevent thermal shock to the baking
dish.
We fire our pottery to 2360 degrees (cone 10) in a
reduction atmosphere. This allows us to get those
beautiful colors from the glazes we use.
